Grievances

If something we hold about you is wrong, or you want it gone, or you think we have handled it badly — this is the page that says who answers and how long we take.

Who to write to

One address: hello@boseboys.com, with Grievance in the subject line. It reaches Sane Observer Metaverse Private Limited, which is the company behind Bose Boys and the Data Fiduciary for anything this site holds about you.

There is no form, no ticket number and no telephone tree. Write in whatever language you are comfortable in.

What we will do, and by when

• Within 7 days — we acknowledge, in writing, that we have it.
• Within 90 days — we resolve it, or we tell you plainly why we cannot. Ninety days is the outer limit the law sets and we do not intend to use it; most of what this site holds is one row and one id.

What you can ask for

• What do you have on me. We will send you everything tied to your reader account and, if you give us the id, everything tied to that browser.
• Correct it. A wrong email, a wrong name.
• Erase it. We delete the account, the reading record and the measurement rows. What we keep after that is the minimum a payment record legally has to be kept for, and nothing else.
• Withdraw consent. You can do it yourself on the privacy page — the button that says Change my answer — and it takes effect on the spot. You do not have to write to anybody.
• Nominate somebody to exercise these rights if you cannot.

If we do not answer

You can take it to the Data Protection Board of India. We would rather you did not have to, and the only way we get to say that honestly is by answering.

What this site actually holds

Less than you might assume, and it is worth saying plainly:

• If you have only read: nothing at all, unless you pressed Allow when we asked about measurement — and then it is a random id in your own browser, which page you opened, how far down it you got and how long you looked at it.
• If you have an account: your email address, and what you have read.
• If you have paid: what you paid for and when. Never a card number. Those are entered on the payment provider’s own page and never touch this one.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the company named above is the Data Fiduciary. Write to the address above and it reaches the person responsible for answering you.
