What this house is, and how it works.

Three answers, kept short — the project, the method, and the company behind it.

The Project

This is a streaming library of nation building — a prestige-series hall where every title is a real person who spent a real life building the organs of a sovereign India. It runs on one argument: that the sovereignty of 1947 was engineered, deliberately, across four generations, by a network history filed under separate headings — scientists in one chapter, industrialists in another, the political men in a third — and that nobody was ever shown the whole machine at once.

We put the machine back together. You scroll a century the way you'd binge a season, and somewhere around 1928 you realise the chapters were never separate.

Method & Sourcing

As it was reported at the time — that is the discipline the whole house kneels to. Time-lapse from 1858, no hindsight sold as fact. Numbers arrive with their author's name attached: the famine roll is Dutt's, 1901, and it says so on the plate. Readings — the farm, the bull, the slaughterhouse — are declared as readings.
